Directions
to IAP
During the five-day period 7-11 June 2004, our Eighth Workshop on Non-Perturbative QCD, (and new and interesting advances in other related fields of physics), will be held under our evolving Directorship. Our new location will be the amphitheatre of the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (IAP), in the 14th arrondissement.
Our program will be divided into a set of ten, half-day sessions, each on a different topics, and each organized by specialists in that subject.
As always, last-minute, detailed Programs for each day will be made available at the Workshop, and - as accurately as possible - will appear on our Website one week before the Workshop. Current planned Sessions will cover new and interesting topics in QCD/QFT, and are here listed, along with the names and coordinates of their organizers/chairs:
Directions
to IAP: IAP is located
at
98 bis, Bd., Arago, Paris 14. One gets there by taking Metro or
RER
to Denfert-Rochereau, a large Place at which perhaps five major avenues
intersect. One can orient oneself by noting that the huge statue
of a lion at the center of Place-D-R has its left-rear haunch pointing
in the direction of Bd.Arago; and the distance from the Place to IAP
along
Bd. Arago is about 250 meters. The Amphitheatre is inside the
main
building and seats 120. A resturant on the premises will
provide
lunch for all interested persons (betweeen 13h00 and 14h00), as well as
morning and afternoon refreshments.
Tentative List of Sessions - Organizers and Chairs
Here is a list of hotels for those wishing to stay in the 7th arrondissement Hotels
A
banquet for all participants and their guests will be
held on Wednesday evening, 7:30 p.m., at le Toupary, on the Fifth floor
of le grand magasin Samaritaine, located at the right-bank edge of le
Pont
Neuf. (The No. 69 autobus which runs along rue St. Dominique, with a
stop
very close to rue Malar, runs right by Samaritaine.) When the
Department
store is open, take the elevator (rather than an escalator) to the
fifth
floor; and le Toupary entrance is right there. The cost of
the banquet is covered by each participant's Registration Fee, but the
charge for each guest will be 50 Euro or US
$60.
$60.
Registration
An advanced Registration will be held
on
Sunday, June 6th at 4:00 p.m. at the Hotel Daguerre, on 94, rue
Daguerre.

Paris, a 10 minute walk from Place Denfert-Rochereau.
Conference
Proceedings: Proceedings of the Workshop
will be published by World Scientific as a special issue of Int. J. of
Modern Physics
A (IJMPA).
Manuscript
preparation: For a standard 30-minute talk, the total
length of each manuscript should be approximately 6 pages. The
trim size is
9x6 inches, which is slightly
larger than the normal book size.
Manuscripts
are to be submitted to Mary Ann Rotondo by September 15, 2004.
