Physics Preprints

Server update: There is a new test interface on home page for preprints which will run TeX automatically with no intervention whatever and store the file locally. All later clicks will view the local copy. Please try to break it and report any success.

New research papers can be fetched automatically from the Los Alamos Physics Information Service. (LANL is running a new test WWW server. The old interface is still available, though.) To learn how to submit papers to the bulletin boards and how to subscribe to daily e-mail distributions of abstracts, click here or follow the links on LANL.

You may find the web even easier to browse than the daily e-mail listings: here are links to July cumulative title/abstract listings on hep-th and on hep-ph .

Bibliographic searches can be started from the SPIRES database at SLAC, with hypertext links directly to papers sources from Los Alamos.

Locally, Mosaic has been hot-wired to run TeX automatically.

On-Line Preprint Library

To run the local on-line library, select Physics E-prints from the system Information menu. This consists of papers someone else in the group thought were interesting enough to at least browse. It is not as complete as going through the LANL listings, but it is much faster. Double-click on the icons to change directories and to preview a paper.
